Popup software built for Webflow

Turn any Webflow element into a popup.

For Webflow designers and agencies. Click an element on your canvas and it becomes a popup that keeps your classes, fonts and breakpoints. Set the trigger, targeting and timing without leaving the Designer.

How it works

From canvas to converting, in four steps.

It all happens inside the Webflow Designer. There's no separate dashboard and no developer hand-off, so you never leave the tool you already know. Follow the setup guide below.

The whole trick

Any element becomes a popup.

Design it the way you design everything else in Webflow: your classes, your fonts, your breakpoints. Then point Awesome Popups at it and it fires as a triggered popup. Same design system, zero widget look.

  • Inherits your styles and responsiveness automatically
  • No iframe, no "powered by" badge, no off-brand template
  • Or start from the gallery if you want a head start
  1. Install once

Add Awesome Popups from the Webflow App Marketplace and drop in the one-time embed script. The panel confirms the moment it goes live.

    Setup checklist
  2. Pick a starting point

Turn an element you already designed into a popup. Or start from a ready-made template in the gallery.

    Custom or template
  3. Click it on the canvas

Tell the app which element to use by clicking it right on the Webflow canvas. Pick the outer wrapper, so the whole design comes along.

    Select an element
  4. Configure & publish

Set the trigger, appearance, targeting and schedule, preview it, then hit Publish. Every change after that happens right here in the panel.

    Name it, check its settings

Try it

Push the button. Watch it pop.

Pick a position and an open animation, then fire a real popup right here on the page. This is the whole product, in one button.

Position
Open animation

Built from a Webflow element. No code, you just pick the settings.

Before you bounce Take 15% off

Join the list and grab your code.

A preview page where a sample popup fires in the position and animation you choose.

Control room

Tune every popup like you mean it.

Real conversion tooling, not a glorified alert box. Every dial lives in the panel, and none of it needs code. Not sure where to start? Read the guides on choosing a trigger and targeting and scheduling.

  • Triggers

Exit intent, scroll depth, time delay, or click. Catch people at the moment the offer makes sense.

  • Targeting

Aim at the right pages, visitors, and devices. Each offer only shows up where it belongs.

  • Scheduling

Set date windows and cap how often it shows. Promos end on time, and regulars see it less.

  • Multi-step

Chain steps into a flow: ask, qualify, convert.

  • Appearance

    Position, open/close animation, overlay, timing.

  • Integrations

Pipe signups to your email tool or CRM, Zapier, a webhook, or Webflow forms.

Analytics

Every popup keeps its own receipts.

Open any popup and watch it work, live in the panel. You won't need a third-party dashboard or a tag manager. Keep the winners, retire the losers. Here's how to read the numbers.

Total impressions
Every time it actually showed, not just a page view.
Dismiss rate
How often people close it. Your honest taste meter.
CTA clicks
Clicks on the buttons and links inside it.
Conversion rate
CTA clicks or form submissions, as a percentage.
A fresh popup, so every count is zero

Template gallery

Start from a template, or build from scratch.

Open the gallery, pick a category, name it, set a trigger, then drop it onto your canvas. Custom takes 2 steps; templates take 4. Either way, they look like you built them on purpose. Cookie-consent templates are a design starting point, not legal advice (see the Terms, or our guide to building a cookie banner).

Who it's for

Made for Webflow client work.

For the people who design and run Webflow sites. One account covers every site you build, so the same app comes along to each new project.

Webflow agencies

One account for every client site.

  • Priced per account, not per site, so a new client does not change the bill.
  • Each popup is built from the client's own elements, so it keeps their classes, fonts and breakpoints.
  • Copy, timing and targeting changes are edits in the Designer, not tickets for a developer.
  • Every popup reports impressions, CTA clicks, dismiss rate and conversion rate, ready for a client update.
See what each popup measures

Freelance designers

Ship the popup without a developer.

  • Turn an element you already designed into a popup, or start from a template.
  • Pick a trigger (exit intent, scroll, delay or click), target pages and devices, and cap how often it shows.
  • Send signups to Webflow forms, Zapier, a webhook, or your email tool or CRM.
  • $9 a month after the 14-day free trial, and it covers all your client sites.

Not a fit if your site is not on Webflow, or you need logic the panel does not offer. The comparison below says what to use instead.

Side by side

Three ways to get a popup onto a Webflow site.

You set every class and breakpoint by hand. Then the popup arrives in someone else's font, or as code only a developer can touch. Here is how the usual routes compare, including skipping the popup altogether.

Awesome Popups compared with a popup widget tool, custom code and no popup, on design fidelity, setup, triggers and targeting, measurement, drawbacks and fit.
Awesome Popups Ours A popup widget tool Custom code No popup at all
Design fidelity Your design. Built from your own Webflow element, so it keeps your classes, fonts and breakpoints. Depends on the tool. Often an iframe or a template from the tool's own library. As good as the build. A developer can match your design exactly, by hand. Nothing to match. An inline form or banner is built in Webflow like the rest of the page.
Setup and changes Inside the Designer. Install from the Webflow App Marketplace and the panel adds a one-time embed script. Every change after that is visual. Usually another app. Paste the tool's script, then build and edit popups in its dashboard, outside Webflow. Through a developer. Someone writes and ships the code. Copy or timing changes usually go back to them. Nothing to do. No script to add and nothing new to maintain.
Triggers and targeting No code needed. Exit intent, scroll depth, time delay or click. Target pages, visitors and devices, with date windows and frequency caps. Often plenty. The exact list depends on the tool you pick. Whatever you build. Any rule is possible. Each one is more code to write and test. None. The form or banner shows to everyone who reaches that part of the page.
Measurement In the panel. Impressions, dismiss rate, CTA clicks and conversion rate for every popup. Usually separate. Stats tend to live in the tool's own dashboard, apart from Webflow. What you wire up. Events usually get added to your analytics by hand. Your existing setup. Whatever your form or analytics already track.
Where it hurts Webflow only. It lives in the Webflow Designer, so sites on other platforms need a different tool. The look. It can read as a plugin rather than your site, and it usually means one more login. Developer time. Up front, and often again for each change. Someone has to own the code. No second chance. Nothing reaches the visitor who is about to leave.
Fits best when You build in Webflow. Your own sites or client work. If you need logic the panel does not offer, custom code is the honest answer. You need a feature it has. One the panel does not offer, or you run several sites outside Webflow. The logic is bespoke. And you have developer time to build it and keep it running. Inline does the job. An inline form or banner says it without interrupting anyone.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Still unsure? Email support@awesomepopups.io and a human will get back to you.

  • How do I install it?

Install it from the Webflow App Marketplace, open it from the Apps panel in the Designer, and register. That starts your 14-day free trial, with no credit card. The setup checklist has an Install embed script button: click it, then press Check to confirm the script is live. From there everything is visual. Read the setup guide.

  • Do I need to know how to code?

No. You build popups visually from your own Webflow elements, right in the Designer. The only setup is a one-time embed script, and the panel installs it for you. After that you never touch code.

  • Is it a separate tool, or inside Webflow?

It lives inside Webflow. Awesome Popups is a Designer Extension: an app window that floats over your canvas in the Webflow Designer, so there is no separate dashboard and no tab-switching.

  • Will my popups actually match my brand?

Yes, and that is the whole point. A popup is just a Webflow element you already styled, so it keeps your classes, fonts and breakpoints. No iframe, no "powered by" badge, no off-brand template. It is your design, not a plugin's.

  • What can trigger a popup, and who sees it?

Trigger on exit-intent, scroll depth, a time delay, or a click. Then target the right pages, visitors and devices, schedule date windows, and set a frequency cap (once per day, for example), so returning visitors are not shown the same popup over and over. How to pick a trigger.

  • Can I start from a template?

Yes. Open the categorized gallery (cookie consent, marketing, conversion and engagement), pick one, name it, and drop it on your canvas. Or start from scratch with any element you already designed. Templates, the cookie-consent one included, are a design starting point. They are not legal advice and do not make a site compliant on their own. Building a cookie banner.

  • Can I use it across more than one site?

Yes. One subscription covers every Webflow site you build. It is priced per account, not per site, which is handy for freelancers and agencies juggling lots of client projects.

  • Where do my form submissions go?

Wherever you need them: your email tool or CRM, Zapier, a webhook, or Webflow's own native forms. You can also view and export submissions right in the panel. Where signups can go.

  • Who owns the data my popups collect?

You do. Emails and other details your visitors submit through your popups, and the impressions, clicks and dismissals behind your analytics, belong to you as the site owner. WOICE d.o.o., the company that operates Awesome Popups, processes that data only on your instructions to run the service, and never uses it for its own marketing. A Data Processing Addendum is available on request at support@awesomepopups.io. Read the Privacy Policy.

  • How is my data protected, and who helps if something breaks?

Your personal data is stored in a secure database that only a limited number of authorized people can access, and that access is logged. Data travelling between your browser, our website and our servers is encrypted with TLS. If something on your site does not work as expected, email support@awesomepopups.io. How we protect personal data.

  • How does the 14-day free trial work?

Register for free with no credit card, then build and launch popups for 14 days at no charge. To keep going, pick a plan ($9/month or $90/year, plus VAT or sales tax where it applies) and add a payment method. Billing starts when the trial ends. If you never pick a plan, you are never charged, and you can cancel from the app or by email before any billing date. Trial and billing terms.

Set it up and go live

The build itself is in How it works. Here is the rest: what to have ready, the embed script, going live and quick fixes.

  1. Before you startA Webflow site you own or are authorised to manage, access to it in the Designer, and the app from the Awesome Popups listing (opens in a new tab). Going custom? Design the element first.
  2. Install the scriptClick Install embed script. The panel adds it for you, so there is nothing to paste.
  3. Check itPress Check and the status changes to "Script installed". Status and Check stay on the home screen, so you can recheck any time.
  4. Go liveNew popups start out DISABLED. Preview it, then Enable and Publish. Save draft keeps edits without publishing.

If something looks off

Nothing shows at all
Press Check. If the script isn't installed, install it.
One never shows
Look for the DISABLED badge. Enable it, then Publish.
Built a new element
Publish the Webflow site too, so it exists on live pages.

Is a popup worth it on your traffic?

Plug in your own numbers. Results update as you type. It is a what-if model: a difference between two rates you typed in is not proof the popup caused it.

Example scenario, per month

Fill in the fields to see a result.

Conversions without the popup
0
Extra conversions
0
Extra value
$0
Net after cost
$0
Break-even

Return on cost

How this is calculated
  • Extra conversions = visitors × share who see it × (rate with it − rate without it)
  • Extra value = extra conversions × value of one conversion
  • Net after cost = extra value − monthly cost
  • Break-even = monthly cost ÷ value of one conversion (the extra conversions needed to cover the cost)
  • Return on cost = net after cost ÷ monthly cost. With a cost of zero it is not defined, so we say so instead of printing infinity.

Assumes the two rates you entered are comparable and that you know the share of visitors who see the popup. Measure the real numbers once it is live: the app shows impressions, CTA clicks, dismiss rate and conversion rate for every popup.

Bonus: how much does a frequency cap cut repeat views?

Use the same period for every field (a day, for example: the app's frequency setting can be once per day). This counts displays only. It does not find the "right" cap for you.
